Unmasked: A Covid-19 Town Hall Series

The COVID-19 pandemic has altered the educational experience for millions of students.

While many school buildings remain closed, K-12 districts, colleges and trade schools have turned to virtual learning with varying degrees of success.

Join us this Wednesday, April 22 at 7pm ET for part three of Unmasked: A COVID-19 Virtual Town Hall as Sen. Elizabeth Warren and other featured panelists discuss what students, parents, and educators can do to safeguard the education of our students.

Unmasked: A COVID-19 Virtual Town Hall Series Part 3 - RSVP at naacp.org

Moderated by Marc Lamont Hill, the Virtual Town Hall will feature the following panelists:

  • Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Member, Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committee
  • Becky Pringle, Vice President, National Education Association

RSVP to join the town hall now.

With COVID-19 disproportionately impacting the Black community, we must keep fighting to ensure equitable access to the quality education our students deserve. As Congress considers legislation to ease the burden of student debt and alleviate the harm to schools, we must also use this moment to drastically change an antiquated and unequal education system.

This will be a defining moment for our country. It’s on us to ensure that the future of our students is not stifled by this crisis.

I hope you will join us.

Fighting Forward,
