2021 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Observance

Monday, January 18, 2021, the Amarillo Branch of the NAACP will be observing the 26th annual national day of service in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In keeping with the health and safety policies established by the national organization, there will not be an in-person gathering this year. Instead, officers and members have partnered with the Potter Randall County Medical Society Alliance (PRCMSA) to provide meals to frontline medical staff who have served tirelessly and at great risk to themselves throughout the current health crisis.

We support and respect other organizations and individuals recognizing Dr. King in their own way and ask that others who would observe the day through service are mindful of their own health and safety as well as that of others.
